  • Sip and Sketch with Elizabeth Barnett

    Hosted on the newly renovated veranda of the historic Duneira Estate, this intimate workshop begins with a guided tour of the estate’s lush gardens. You’ll then settle in with a glass of local wine and a seasonal cheese plate, as Lizzie gently guides you through observational sketching techniques inspired by the seasonal beauty around you.

    All materials are provided, and no experience is necessary, just come ready to slow down and enjoy the process. You’ll leave with a collection of sketches and a renewed sense of creative calm.

    Saturday’s 6th, 17th, 23rd of September 2.30pm - 5.30pm.

  • Guided Garden Tours

    Come and enjoy a guided garden tour of an original Mount Macedon Hill Station, Duneria Estate. The garden is awakened after winter with daffodils and crocus adorning the grand lawns, plus rhododendrons, mollis azeleas, camellias, lupins, and beds of peonies and beautiful perennials. The bluebells create a stunning carpet display beneath the historic 500-meter Elm Avenue. Discover the labyrinth, secret garden, heritage-listed trees, and meet the resident llamas.

  • Garden Balm Workshop: Make Your Own Herbal Healing Salve

    Learn how to make a practical, effective balm using common backyard herbs and weeds. Garden Balm is great for soothing dry, hard-working hands and helps heal minor cuts, scrapes, bumps, and bruises - a handy addition to any gardeners first aid kit.

    In this hands-on workshop, you’ll:

    • Learn how to identify and use common kitchen garden herbs and backyard weeds

    • Make a herbal-infused oil from scratch

    • Turn your infused oil into a balm using beeswax and plant-based butters

    • Take home a tin of your own Garden Balm and a recipe card for future batches

    Enjoy award winning herbal teas and botanical snacks through the day

  • Spring Herbal Tea Workshop with Caroline Parker

    In this hands-on workshop, you’ll get to know a range of seasonal spring herbs, the ones that pop up early in the year and are great for supporting energy, digestion, and overall seasonal transition.

    You’ll taste each herb, learn about its physical, medicinal, and traditional uses, and get familiar with its flavour profile. We’ll talk about how to balance flavours and actions to make a tea that’s both delicious and good for you. We’ll also cover simple brewing techniques, so you can make a perfect cup of herbal tea at home.

    You’ll get to blend up your own custom tea mix to take home in a beautiful glass apothecary jar, perfect for your own cupboard or as a thoughtful gift.

  • Gin and Jazz Concert Series - Michelle Nicolle

    Michelle Nicolle, hailed as Australia's preminent female jazz singer, is a living embodiment of artistry and elegance in the jazz world. A multi-award-winner, Michelle’s accolades include the prestigious Bell Award (2017), National Jazz Award winner (1998) and 3-time A.R.I.A Finalist and 2024 Music Victoria Award “Best Jazz Work” for The Bach Project cementing her as a national treasure with global appeal.

    Performing at Duneira Estate, Michelle will feature songs from her recent USA release, The Silent Wish, her 11th album, and also a mix of Michelle’s original music and reflections of material from her 10 previous releases. Joining Michelle will be her long-time collaborators Geoff Hughes on guitar and Tom Lee on double bass.

  • The Bluebell Festival

    Celebrate Spring with us during our annual Bluebell Festival held at Duneira historic house and garden on Mt Macedon!

    Duneira's spectacular heritage garden is the perfect setting for a fun day out - especially at this time of year when our iconic Dutch Elm Avenue is carpeted by a sea of Bluebells. 

    Enjoy the festive atmosphere while being entertained with local music So Saxy, sample and purchase a glass of wine from local winemaker, ECK wines, or a gin and tonic from Gin distillery Travelling While Standing Still. Indulge in some homemade tasty treats courtesy of Macedon CWA, including their popular scones, jam and cream. Grab a barista coffee or a sausage from the Macedon and Mount Macedon Community House Sausage Sizzle.

    Enjoy an ice cream from Mia Mia Geleratia whilst playing old fashioned highland games on the front lawn.

    Take this opportunity to walk through the Duneira homestead circa 1875 and view Stuart Stoneman's art collection. Guided garden tours will be held in the morning and afternoon. Entry to the house and garden tours are included in the ticket price. 

    The Festival runs from 10am - 3pm on Saturday 25th and 26th October 2025.

  • Duneira Estate - 150th Year Celebration - 1870's Victorian Grand Ball

    This year Duneira celebrates its 150th year anniversary and to celebrate we are hosting a 1870’s Victorian Grand Ball. Come along dressed in your finest 1870’s ball attire and enjoy a night of dancing, conversation, wine, champagne and a sensational supper.

    Music will fill the night air as we start with Victorian themed ball dances from the 1870;s and then as a homerage to Duneira founders the officer Family enjoy highland scottish reels to dance the night away. This is an exclusive event with limited tickets and an exceptional chance to experience a social event that Duneira’s historic home was built for in 1875.

    Once you have purchased your tickets you will receive an formal invitation with the outline of the evening.
